Position Overview

As a Senior Product Owner - Hearing Aid at Johnson Health Tech, you will partner across our global development teams to design, build, & deliver the next generation of hearing aid products. 


Responsibilities

Responsible for articulating and translating product vision into feature(s) and tactics for products. Communicate product strategy effectively to key stakeholders and team members. Contributes to the creation of product vision and roadmaps with business partners. 

Defines minimum viable product (MVP) for products/features in scope. Owns team backlog (grooming, prioritization, and refinement). Helps key stakeholders to better understand the product vision. 

Work with Product Manager, key stakeholders, and development team to develop and maintain the product roadmap. Incorporates input into product roadmap while effectively negotiating tradeoffs of conflicting priorities based on value to the business and customer. 

Communicates the feature or product strategy effectively to key stakeholders, team members, and management. 

Responsible and accountable for performance indicators (KPI's) and manages features or product(s) with a high degree of KPI, scope, complexity, etc. 

Analyzes feasibility, cost ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential programs. 

Works day-to-day with stakeholders clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks, constantly communicating, and gaining alignment around feature or product strategy. Has knowledge of customer-driven design and usability test principles. 

Ensures delivery of scope, partners with delivery teams to ensure user stories are clear, and partners with various departments to align resources, remove barriers for team members and resolve open issues/questions quickly and efficiently.  

Sets the quality standard for delivery. Develops test plans (user story acceptance criteria), reviews and accepts each story and potential feature upon completion 

Participates in team demos and retrospectives to validate quality, provide feedback to team, and improve team processes. Partners across functions as needed to coordinate delivery plans, testing, training, and support. 

Mentors and participates in training other team members. 


Requirements

Education:

4-year degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field

MBA or advanced degree a plus


Experience:

7 years of experience as a Product Owner developing software products using Agile development methodologies

Electrical hardware, system development, and integration knowledge a plus


Other Requirements:

Ability and willingness to travel both internationally and domestically (approximately 4x/year), communicate with global teams during non-business hours

Ability to work well with numerous diverse groups and individuals

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
