POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sanitation Technician I reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and is responsible for cleaning the entire facility based on the frequency set for each area/equipment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Perform SQF driven facility cleanup per SQF desired frequency.
  • Perform various sanitation/cleaning activities, to include brushing, blowing, vacuuming, mopping, and washing for various production equipment and production areas.
  • Complete daily documentation of sanitation/cleaning activities
  • Aid in keeping the Master Sanitation Schedule updated.
  • Work with fellow sanitation employee(s)
  • Ability to be certified for using powered jack, scissor lift, forklift, etc.
  • Always be mindful of and adhere to GMP's, Quality and Food Safety requirements.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and guidelines.

All other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Must have prior experience with cleaning/sanitation within a food manufacturing environment.
  • HACCP certification is a plus.
  • Must be able to coordinate effectively with Operations to maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule but without extreme disruption to ongoing operational activities.
  • Must have the ability to work well with a variety of people and take initiative, showing self-motivation in working independently (at times with little to no supervision) with organization, good communication skills and a very strong work ethic.
  • Must have the flexibility to, as needed based on business demands, perform work during varying shifts and/or on weekends.
  • Must have at least basic Reading, Writing, Mathematical & Computer Skills:
  • Ability to read, write and interpret MSDS, check sheets, master sanitation schedule as well as other correspondence.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations: add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment: telephone system, desktop computers, fax and copy machines.
  • Beyond basic abilities with Microsoft Office Software, specifically with Word and Excel.
  • Ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
