Job description

Job Type
Full-time
Description
Vector Solutions is seeking a hands-on CRM Analytics Engineer to help build and maintain the analytics foundation that powers revenue growth. Working within Salesforce and CRM Analytics (CRMA), you will support the datasets, dashboards, and reporting that Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success rely on to measure performance and make data-driven decisions.
This is a hands-on technical role for an analytics engineer who can translate complex revenue workflows and business processes into scalable, reliable data models and transformations. You will partner with Revenue Analytics team members, business partners, and stakeholders to build and maintain the dataflows, recipes, dashboards, and analytical resources that support critical planning, forecasting, and revenue decisions. The ideal candidate brings practical experience designing production-grade analytics solutions and can independently turn business needs into durable data products.
What You'll Do:
Analytical Data Modeling
  • Build and maintain CRM Analytics datasets, recipes, dataflows, and related analytical resources.
  • Define appropriate dataset grain, joins, relationships, transformations, and calculated fields.
  • Create reusable data structures that support multiple analytical use cases.
  • Help integrate data across bookings, pipeline, renewals, accounts, customers, products, activities, quotas, targets, and financial plans.
  • Apply consistent, documented metric definitions so revenue metrics are interpreted the same way across teams.
  • Monitor data model performance, scalability, and maintainability, escalating design questions as needed.

Operating Plans & Forecasts
  • Build and maintain analytical structures that support annual plans, quarterly targets, quotas, forecasts, and scenario analysis.
  • Integrate plan, actual, forecast, and prior-period data into reliable analytical resources.
  • Support forecasting resources for bookings, pipeline, renewals, retention, and customer health outcomes.
  • Develop resources that help users analyze gaps to plan, forecast movement, coverage, and performance drivers.
  • Support business partners and Finance by building the analytical resources behind planning and forecasting requirements.
  • Flag technical or data limitations that affect forecast accuracy and recommend improvements.

Salesforce & CRM Analytics Solutions
  • Design and implement CRMA applications, dashboards, lenses, analytical workflows, and reusable components that communicate KPIs and operational performance for GTM, Sales, and CX.
  • Evaluate and implement Salesforce fields, objects, relationships, or configurations needed for analytical use cases, coordinating with Revenue Systems and established change-control processes.
  • Turn recurring business needs into governed, reusable Salesforce and CRMA capabilities rather than repeated one-off requests.
  • Build solutions that may combine dashboards, workflows, automation, alerts, and AI features, and help determine when a need is best met through configuration, analytics, process change, or automation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CRMA dataflows, dashboards, and performance.
  • Stay current on Salesforce and CRMA platform capabilities and best practices.

Technical Solution Design
  • Help translate defined business requirements into technical solutions, working with business partners to clarify use cases, users, decisions, and expected workflows.
  • Contribute to evaluating solution approaches, learning to weigh tradeoffs across speed, complexity, usability, and maintenance.
  • Build prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions, with direction from senior team members on more complex problems.
  • Keep solutions connected to the intended business outcome and help identify dependencies across source data, Salesforce configuration, and other systems.

Data Quality & Governance
  • Develop and maintain data-quality checks, reconciliation methods, and validation processes.
  • Investigate discrepancies across Salesforce, CRMA, Finance, and other reporting sources.
  • Document datasets, transformations, calculations, assumptions, and dependencies, and help maintain governed metric definitions.
  • Follow testing and change-control practices for production analytical resources and help assess the impact of proposed changes.
  • Monitor refreshes, failures, data completeness, and performance, and support data hygiene and capture best practices.

Analytical Enablement
  • Build resources that let business partners investigate data independently, without unnecessary technical dependencies.
  • Provide guidance on the appropriate use of datasets, fields, metrics, filters, and analytical tools, and explain data-model limitations, methodology, and lineage.
  • Convert repeated analysis needs into reusable datasets, metrics, dashboards, or applications.
  • Translate data into clear insights and narratives for stakeholders and support business partners during user acceptance testing and adoption.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in data or sales analytics, business intelligence, revenue operations, or a comparable role, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM Analytics (CRMA / Einstein Analytics): building datasets, dashboards, lenses, recipes/dataflows, and bindings.
  • Working knowledge of the Salesforce platform (objects, fields, relationships) and comfort making configuration changes within established change-control processes.
  • Experience using SAQL, SQL, or a similar language for data transformation and validation, with the aptitude to deepen it.
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to turn data into clear insights and to spot and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Working understanding of GTM/revenue operations: pipeline, forecasting, quotas, renewals, and plan-vs-actual reporting.
  • An organized approach to documentation and good communication skills, with comfort presenting findings to team members and stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, curious mindset and the ability to work effectively across functions.

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting forecasting, operating plans, or FP&A-style analytics.
  • Familiarity with automated reporting or reusable analytics frameworks within a Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Exposure to data governance or change-management practices.

What You Can Expect From Us:
  • Friendly, open, and casual work environment
  • Comprehensive benefits package effective the first of the month after hire
  • Matching 401(k) retirement plan
  • Healthy work-life balance with flexible work arrangements and generous time off
  • Generous referral incentive program
  • Tuition Reimbursement Program
  • Pet Insurance
  • OnePass Gym/Wellness Discount Program
  • Calm Health-Employee Membership
  • Company social events
  • Employee Resource Groups
  • Philanthropic opportunities
