Candidate location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Project Scope:
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate Agile Scrum processes and guide cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating Scrum activities, removing impediments, and ensuring Agile best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
This role involves working closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and development teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with a focus on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
• Remove blockers and impediments affecting team productivity.
• Ensure adherence to Scrum principles and Agile best practices.
• Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and team feedback.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and prioritize the product backlog.
• Track project progress, KPIs, risks, and issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Support Agile teams in delivering high-quality products within project timelines.
• Coach and mentor team members to foster an Agile mindset and a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years of overall IT experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps.
• 3+ years of experience leading Scrum ceremonies.
• 3+ years of experience with database querying and programming.
• 3+ years of experience using Agile project management tools.
• 3+ years of experience working in hybrid project environments (Agile & Waterfall).
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum principles and practices.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
• Government project experience.
• ERP implementation or support experience.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
