Title: Librarian

POSITION SUMMARY
This position coordinates electronic resources and cataloging. Instruction, both class, virtual, and reference desk is expected.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform job duties from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location. Coordinate and administer electronic resources, including LibGuides and other related library technologies, to ensure reliable access to online library information. Catalog materials for check out. Assist users with reference and research questions through the resources of library. Plan and conduct library instruction sessions both in-person and on Zoom. Serve as an embedded librarian for web courses. Assist in planning of library initiatives. Works with faculty to incorporate OERs into their courses.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in library science from an ALA accredited program.

Strong computer skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with Libguides and other library-centered software.

Knowledge of cataloging.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Broad knowledge of library and educational technologies. Knowledge of accessibility principles and universal design. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems. Desire2Learn preferred. Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with students, faculty, staff, and administration. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to give and accept supervision. Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with a diverse group of individuals, both internal and external. Ability to work some nights and weekends, as well as virtual hours.
