Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) - 8 to 20 Years Experience
Location: Tampa, Florida, USA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range (Market - Basic):
$120,000 - $165,000 per year (Base Salary)
(Final compensation depends on experience, certifications, and project complexity.)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) to lead the design, development, and execution of complex electrical engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in power systems, building services, and infrastructure projects, along with strong leadership, technical expertise, and client coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering design for commercial, industrial, healthcare, institutional, and infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Perform power system analysis, short circuit studies, load calculations, arc flash studies, and grounding design.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, local codes, and project requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, structural, architectural, and civil engineers.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and quality control.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and construction support activities.
  • Sign and seal engineering documents as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license - Mandatory.
  • 8-20 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, emergency power, and low-voltage systems.
  • Experience in MEP consulting or engineering design firms preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, ETAP, or similar engineering software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in healthcare, data centers, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design and energy-efficient systems.
  • LEED accreditation is a plus.
  • All candidates exp must be directly tied to MEP design engineering for building construction documents.
    Must have Revit Experience.
    Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
