Job Title: Master Data Manager (hands-on)

Status: Exempt, Full-time

Location: Anaheim, CA

Work Schedule: Hybrid


Position Summary: Lead the enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) function to ensure trusted, governed, and business-aligned data across ERP, MES, PLM, CRM, and supporting systems. This role is accountable for enabling operational efficiency, supply chain accuracy, financial integrity, and regulatory compliance through high-quality master data.


Responsibilities:

  • Define and operationalize enterprise data governance framework
  • Establish and lead data stewardship council across business functions
  • Assign and enforce data ownership and accountability by domain
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, standards, and business rules
  • Ensure alignment between IT governance and business process ownership
  • Own and continuously improve data quality KPIs (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness)
  • Implement data profiling, monitoring, and remediation processes
  • Lead root cause analysis for recurring data issues
  • Own selection, implementation, and optimization of MDM platforms/tools
  • Define system-of-record architecture across ERP, MES, CRM
  • Ensure synchronization and integrity of master data across systems
  • Support ERP/MES upgrades and transformations with strong data governance
  • Partner with business leaders to embed data accountability into operations
  • Lead remediation of audit findings related to master data
  • Reduce operational and financial risk caused by data errors
  • Define and publish enterprise data quality dashboards
  • Partner with BI/analytics teams to improve reporting accuracy


Experience

  • 7–10+ years in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Stewardship
  • Strong experience in manufacturing environments
  • Deep expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor)
  • Experience integrating ERP with MES, PLM, and CRM systems


Technical Skills

  • SQL and data analysis tools
