Master Scheduler
Location: Riverside, CA
Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000/year
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-oriented Master Scheduler to serve as the planning leader for our manufacturing operations. This role goes beyond running MRP or managing materials; it owns end-to-end production planning and scheduling, drives SIOP execution, and establishes the data discipline required to support a successful ERP environment.
The ideal candidate will lead the planning side of our ERP, connect demand to capacity and materials, own the Clear-to-Build process, and translate the master schedule into work center- and station-level execution on the production floor. This role operates cross-functionally across Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production, ensuring alignment to a single, executable plan in a dynamic, restart and scale-up manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage the master production schedule, aligning demand forecasts, capacity, materials, and operational constraints.
  • Lead SIOP execution end to end, connecting demand signals to capacity planning and material readiness.
  • Establish and enforce strong ERP data discipline, including BOMs, routings, lead times, calendars, and planning parameters.
  • Drive and own the Clear-to-Build process, ensuring schedules released to the floor are executable and supported by material and capacity.
  • Translate the master schedule into work center- and station-level execution, supporting production flow and floor-level accountability.
  • Serve as the planning lead for ERP implementation and stabilization, ensuring planning logic supports operational reality.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production to maintain alignment to a single, integrated plan.
  • Operate effectively in a restart and scale-up environment, making sound decisions despite imperfect data and shifting priorities.
  • Perform advanced data analysis to identify bottlenecks, constraints, and risks; proactively recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Push back on infeasible commitments using data-driven analysis while balancing customer, operational, and business priorities.
  • Report key planning and scheduling KPIs to leadership and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize advanced Excel and ERP reporting tools to support scenario planning and decision-making.

Position Requirements:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or supply chain roles.
  • Deep understanding of production planning, master scheduling, and SIOP in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar), including planning master data and scheduling logic.
  • Understanding of low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning, constraint management, and manufacturing execution workflows.
  • Knowledge of automotive OEM manufacturing standards and production processes.
  • Proven ability to lead planning functions, not just execute transactions.
  • Strong analytical judgment with the confidence to challenge assumptions and commitments using data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros).
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate with urgency and clarity in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
  • High energy, strong ownership mindset, and bias toward execution.

Preferred:
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) strongly preferred.
  • Experience in automotive OEM manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Prior involvement in ERP implementations or major system transitions highly desirable.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
Work Environment:
  • This is an onsite position based in Riverside, CA and requires being 100% onsite.
Benefits:
  • Comprehensive benefits package: Medical (including FSA amp; HSA), dental, vision, life and disability insurance, EAP, mental health, and wellness programs
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid time off and twelve (12) paid holidays
  • Employee referral program
  • Career growth and development opportunities
Career Growth at ENC
  • We believe great careers and leaders are built from within. Many of our team members have advanced into roles that lead or into specialized technical positions. We invest in hands-on training, skill development, and long-term career pathways within manufacturing operations.
