Job Description
Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) is a two-year public institution of higher education and one of 23 community colleges in Virginia. The college is supported by the Commonwealth of Virginia; the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Botetourt (northern portion) and Rockbridge; the cities of Buena Vista, Covington, and Lexington; and the town of Clifton Forge. We are seeking an energetic and experienced Massage Therapy Instructor with at least three years of hands-on experience for fall 2026. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in diverse massage techniques, a dedication to ongoing professional growth, and a true passion for educating and guiding aspiring massage therapists.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
Qualifications:
Certificate of completion from a Massage Therapy program
Licensed Massage Therapy in Virginia
At least three years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapy

Health and Wellness Principles: Awareness of holistic health concepts and wellness strategies.
Business Practice: Understanding of the business aspects of running a massage therapy practice, including marketing, client relations, and financial management.

Curriculum Development: Ability to design and develop lesson plans, course materials, and assessment tools.
