We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role that requires working directly on the production floor, inspecting parts at the machines throughout the manufacturing process. This is not an office-only inspection position. The ideal candidate enjoys being actively involved in production, working alongside machinists to ensure quality is maintained from first article through final inspection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections
  • Complete and maintain AS9102 FAIR documentation
  • Inspect parts using surface plate setups and hand measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications, including GD&T
  • Operate inspection equipment including Laser Tracker and Romer Arm using Verisurf software
  • Utilize CAD inspection software (PC-DMIS 2025)
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records
  • Work closely with machinists and production personnel to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Support compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, customer specifications, and GD&T.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other mechanical inspection tools.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CMMs, Laser Tracker, and Romer Arm inspection equipment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using Verisurf software and PC-DMIS.
  • Experience working within AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with machinists and production personnel.
  • Ability to spend the majority of the workday on the manufacturing floor, standing, walking, and performing inspections directly at CNC machines.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer competitive pay based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Medical insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid vacation
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid sick time

Export Compliance Requirement

Due to U.S. Government export control regulations related to space technology, applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) authorized to work in the United States.

If you're a quality-focused professional who enjoys being on the shop floor, working with precision parts, and making a direct impact on manufacturing excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
