Job description

The Product Operations Principal works as part of the Product Operations function responsible for the end-to-end operating cadence of the MarTech product organization (~72-person Product Org). This role drives cross-functional alignment across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Client Success to ensure strategic priorities are translated into coordinated execution.
As a principal-level individual contributor and subject matter expert, they will own operating rhythm facilitation, roadmap governance, and process adoption across a broad scope of cross-functional programs and address the most complex alignment and change management challenges. The Product Operations Principal will have opportunities to review the work of more junior members of the team, providing guidance and mentorship to assist in their development.

Primary Accountabilities:

Operating Rhythm & Facilitation (40%)
  • Own the MarTech operating cadence end-to-end; facilitate product council sessions, quarterly planning cycles, and retrospectives.
  • Manage the roadmap governance process; support tradeoff conversations with portfolio impact analysis when new requests compete for capacity.
  • Coordinate cross-functional release readiness checklists for major launches; identify and escalate gaps proactively.
  • Facilitate quarterly objective-setting with PMs, engineering leads, and business stakeholders; translate strategic priorities into measurable quarterly deliverables with binary success criteria.
  • Build and maintain product investment models that connect roadmap initiatives to revenue impact; support the analytical infrastructure required for R&D ROI attribution, scenario planning, and board-level investment reporting.
Cross-Functional Alignment (35%)
  • Support adoption of the platform operating model; guide teams through new workflows including outcome-driven thinking through business and adoption metrics.
  • Partner with the VP, Product Operations on executive communication; prepare strategic narratives that connect operational metrics to business outcomes.
  • Provide cross-functional influence across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success; network with senior internal and external parties as needed.
  • Own the Voice of Customer (VOC) infrastructure, with a focus on managing Sales Led and Product Led products in partnership with PMM
Process Adoption & Tooling (25%)
  • Drive adoption of the ProdOps operating system across the MarTech product organization.
  • Own data hygiene and process compliance; continuously improve the operating model based on feedback and operational insights.
  • Manage the feedback loop between internal users and system design to ensure processes are adopted and sustained.
  • Engage with modern tooling and ways of working; the ProdOps function invests in advanced tooling for analytical and reporting workloads to enable the team to focus on facilitation, judgment, and relationships.
  • Support the operational dimensions of managed-service-to-platform transitions, including beta program design, pilot governance, and the development of structured learning frameworks that separate product validation from commercial readiness.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in business, technology, operations, or related area required.
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Operations, Program Management, or Technical Program Management at a platform or SaaS company, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position.
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills with the ability to drive decisions among senior stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Cross-functional experience at scale, working at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success in organizations with complexity.
  • Experience building reporting or analytical infrastructure that connects product activity to financial outcomes (e.g., R&D investment attribution, revenue impact modeling, or portfolio-level ROI analysis).
  • Demonstrated ability to design processes and drive adoption; experience navigating the tension between rigor and pragmatism.
  • Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to retail media, AdTech, or marketing technology.
  • Experience with managed-service-to-platform transitions.
  • Familiarity with Airtable as an operational tool.

110,926.13 - 184,876.88 USD Annual
