About Us:
At Sheraton Suites Wilmington Downtown, we provide an elevated all-suite experience in the heart of Wilmington. Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to generate group and transient revenue, develop new business, and maintain strong client relationships. This role is responsible for managing the sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution while maximizing occupancy, ADR, and overall hotel profitability.
What You'll Do:
  • Prospect, solicit, and secure new business across corporate, group, and local market segments
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts to drive repeat and referral business
  • Respond to inquiries and RFPs with timely, customized proposals aligned with Marriott standards
  • Conduct hotel tours and client presentations showcasing our all-suite accommodations and amenities
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing in collaboration with Revenue Management
  • Utilize Marriott systems (CI/TY, Lightspeed, etc.) to manage pipeline, reporting, and bookings
  • Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and community functions
  • Partner with operations teams to ensure seamless execution and high guest satisfaction
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals

What We're Looking For:
  • 2-5 years of hotel sales experience preferred (group and/or corporate focus)
  • Experience within a Marriott environment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Marriott sales systems (CI/TY, Lightspeed, MGS) is a plus
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue goals
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Knowledge of the Wilmington/Delaware Valley market is a plus
