Position Overview

Better Movement Coaching Hub is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic clinical team. This full-time, remote position, based in Parsippany, New Jersey, plays a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral healthcare to individuals, couples, and families. You will have the option to conduct therapy sessions via telemedicine or meet in-person with clients when preferred. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

  • Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients, and facilitate group sessions as needed.
  • Engage with couples together, along with individual sessions, to address dynamics within couples and family interactions.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that meet the specific needs of clients, focusing on enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering emotional wellbeing.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist clients in managing and overcoming challenges such as alcohol abuse, grief and loss, and communication difficulties.
  • Document client progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with clinic policies and maintain compliance with all mental health regulations.
  • Regularly collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to share insights, strategies, and resources that contribute to comprehensive patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse client population includes adults, children, and adolescents facing a variety of challenges. You will work with clients experiencing issues such as:

  • Alcohol and substance abuse.
  • Physical and psychological trauma.
  • Grief and loss.
  • Family conflicts and sibling rivalries.
  • Challenges associated with blended families and marital adjustments.
  • Stress related to employment and medical issues.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • An active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Strong clinical skills with a history of providing care in varied settings.
Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least two years of direct clinical experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of therapeutic modalities and their application in family and couples counseling. Successful candidates will be able to provide evidence of their effectiveness through patient outcomes and testimonials.

Compensation and Benefits
