Position Overview

Better Movement Coaching Hub is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for a full-time remote position based in San Jose, California. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Better Movement Coaching Hub, you will:

  • Conduct individual and couple therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to address various mental health issues.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver therapy sessions, ensuring accessibility and convenience for clients.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment results and ongoing evaluations.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions with a focus on enhancing communication and resolving conflicts, addressing specific issues such as substance abuse, grief, medical concerns, and blended family dynamics.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with all healthcare regulations and protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and connect clients with additional resources as needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults, children, and adolescents facing a range of challenges including, but not limited to:

  • Alcohol and substance abuse
  • Trauma and abuse (physical and psychological)
  • Grief and loss
  • Family conflict and sibling rivalry
  • Job-related stress and medical issues
  • Challenges related to blended families and divorce
  • Communication difficulties in familial relationships
Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • An active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience providing therapy.
Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in diverse therapeutic modalities and a history of working with various population groups will be given preference. Familiarity with telehealth practices will also be advantageous as we continue to adapt to modern methods of client interaction.
