Connect for Health Colorado is a public, non-profit entity established by the Colorado General Assembly in 2011 to create a health insurance Marketplace. Since 2013, we've been helping individuals, families and small employers compare plans, apply for financial help and buy health insurance. As Colorado's official health insurance marketplace, we are the only place to apply for financial help to lower the monthly cost of premiums. Customers can shop online; get help by phone or online chat from Customer Service Center representatives; and access expert help from a statewide network of certified Brokers and community-based Assisters. Position Summary:
The Marketing Operations Senior Specialist will be the technical backbone of the Connect for Health Colorado Marketing and Communications team, providing day-to-day management of core marketing and communications systems, platforms and processes.
In addition to setting up, maintaining and using systems supporting email marketing, website management, social media marketing and other efforts, the Marketing Operations Senior Specialist will also play an important role in helping the team manage projects and initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Audit current setup of existing systems supporting marketing and communications efforts.
  • Manage the organization's email marketing workflow, including list management, building and sending emails, creating and executing campaigns, collaborating with internal teams and ongoing reporting.
  • Serve as the main point of contact in the relationships with vendors and contractors related to systems and platforms.
  • Manage budget and renewal conversations with vendors and contractors related to systems and platforms (with oversight from Senior Manager of Marketing).
  • Create/write content and manage updates to the Connect for Health Colorado primary website and other web-related properties as needed, both individually and in collaboration with contractors and vendors as necessary.
  • Support analysis on existing systems and usage in the marketing and communications technology stack and provide recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
  • Take the lead on gathering data and metrics across core platforms, completing analysis and creating readouts and visualizations (with strategy oversight from the Senior Manager of Marketing).
  • Maintain data cleanliness, security, and compliance with regulations across the systems in the marketing and communications technology stack.
  • Streamline existing or build new workflows designed to improve efficiency, productivity, and user-friendliness.
  • Stay up to date on updates to existing systems, new features and possibilities available to the organization, and shifts in the marketing technology landscape, and surface insights and recommendations to the broader team.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to support coordinated messaging and engagement.
  • Perform other duties as needed in support of departmental and organizational priorities.

Requirements
  • Colorado resident.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications, or related field.
  • Experience managing or working with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud) required.
  • Experience managing or working with web content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is highly preferred.
  • Aptitude for interpreting data and applying it to strategies and execution.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities and instincts.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously, including intake prioritization, timeline tracking, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to translate complex information (policy, technical, regulatory) into clear, accurate, customer-friendly language.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and adapting quickly when priorities shift - especially during high-volume periods.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with health insurance, the Affordable Care Act, state-based health insurance marketplaces, or the health care industry is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish) are strongly preferred but not required.

Work Environment:
  • Currently working remotely.
  • The Connect for Health Colorado office is located in the North Tech Center area of Denver, near the intersection of I-25 and I-225.
  • Work schedule may include some non-traditional hours, weekends, and evening events.
  • Core office hours are typically 8 am-5 pm with some flexibility.

Total Compensation:
Connect for Health Colorado offers a competitive benefits package. Employees are offered a robust benefits package and may elect from various offerings to tailor a package best suited to their individual needs. Connect for Health Colorado employees are eligible to participate in the organization's 403(b) plan and are additionally provided with paid time off, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance. The salary range for the position is $79,310 - $99,910.
