Senior Associate, Outbound Marketing Strategy & Operations - Performance Marketing (Hybrid)

This role is responsible for managing the day‑to‑day digital and performance marketing campaigns for a set of Capital One’s U.S. Card digital acquisition channels within our Outbound Marketing team. These channels focus on driving conversions rather than awareness. All campaigns are managed in‑house, providing direct control over strategy and execution.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute campaign testing, including ad creative, landing page, audience, and channel expansion testing.
  • Manage outbound performance marketing campaigns from planning and execution to analysis and reporting, collaborating with business analysts.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end ad operations to launch campaigns error‑free, identify opportunities for performance optimisation, and implement process improvements to streamline launch procedures.
  • Coordinate across internal teams – Legal, Compliance, Brand Marketing, Customer Experience, Analytics, Data, and Technology – to execute Display ad strategies end‑to‑end.
  • Partner with creative and cross‑functional teams to develop a new suite of creatives that ensure a seamless customer journey and data‑backed hypotheses.
  • Serve as the subject‑matter expert in outbound marketing, knowledgeable in various advertising platforms, campaign settings, optimisation techniques, tracking/tagging infrastructure and inventory types.
  • Demonstrate a self‑starter attitude, strong organisational skills, ownership mentality, ability to prioritise workloads and quickly learn new digital marketing and platform‑specific features.
  • Work effectively with high‑performing teammates and external and internal partners across the enterprise.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in email or display ad marketing.
  • At least 2 years of experience planning and implementing digital marketing strategies utilising Google or other inbox servicing ad platforms.
  • At least 2 years of experience analysing and evaluating campaign performance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in paid media & performance marketing, managing high‑volume accounts and large media budgets.
  • At least 2 years of experience in D2C marketing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management.
  • At least 1 year of experience in social media or search engine marketing.
  • Prior financial industry or media agency experience.
Position Details
  • Salary range – McLean, VA: $96,500 – $110,100; Richmond, VA: $87,700 – $100,100.
  • Eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
  • Benefits include health, financial and other benefits that support total well‑being.
