Job description

At HelloFresh, we want to change the way people eat forever by offering our customers high-quality food and recipes for different meal occasions. Over the past 10 years, we've seen this mission spread around the world and beyond our wildest dreams. Now, we are a global food solutions group and the world's leading meal kit company, active in 18 countries across 3 continents. So, how did we do it? Our weekly boxes full of exciting recipes and fresh ingredients have blossomed into a community of customers looking for delicious, healthy, and sustainable options. The HelloFresh Group now includes our core brand, HelloFresh, as well as: Green Chef, EveryPlate, Chefs Plate, Factor_, and Youfoodz.

The Opportunity

Marketing Science & Optimization is the engine that powers how HelloFresh allocates hundreds of millions of dollars in marketing investment globally. How we measure effectiveness, understand incrementality, optimize budgets, forecast outcomes, and connect performance back into future decisions directly impacts customer growth, profitability, and long-term business performance.

Today, many of these capabilities exist across different systems, methodologies, and teams. We are building a unified decisioning ecosystem where measurement, experimentation, forecasting, audience intelligence, and optimization work together to drive smarter investment decisions at scale. This role owns that ecosystem end-to-end. We are looking for a product leader who can define the future of marketing decision-making at HelloFresh. You will build the systems that transform data into decisions, decisions into actions, and actions into measurable business outcomes. This is not a coordination role. We are looking for someone who can establish the vision, prove impact through experimentation, and scale successful solutions globally.

What You'll Own

Budget Allocation & Decisioning Platform
Build the systems that answer one core question: Where should we invest next?

Own the core decisioning capabilities that drive marketing investment and capital allocation across markets.

  • Budget allocation methodologies that guide spend decisions
  • Investment recommendation systems that surface where to scale or pull back
  • Scenario planning tools to evaluate trade-offs and outcomes
  • Marketing forecasting platforms to improve forward-looking visibility
  • Performance steering capabilities that connect spend to outcomes

Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Analytics to improve how capital is deployed across acquisition channels and markets. Transform measurement outputs into actionable recommendations rather than static reporting.

Audience Intelligence & Activation
Build and scale a first-party audience intelligence system that enables model-driven growth.

  • Audience segmentation frameworks across value, lifecycle, churn, retention, and reactivation
  • Scalable audience generation models powered by data science
  • Cross-channel activation strategies across paid and owned channels
  • Governance frameworks ensuring consistency, compliance, and scalability across markets

Partner with Marketing and Data Science to evolve from manual audience management toward model-driven audience generation and optimization. Establish governance frameworks to ensure audiences are scalable, compliant, and consistently activated across markets.

Closed-Loop Optimization System
Build a full feedback loop from measurement to decisioning to optimization.

  • Ensure measurement directly informs investment decisions
  • Use audience performance to refine targeting strategies
  • Leverage experimentation to validate and scale optimizations
  • Continuously feed outcomes back into planning and forecasting systems

Partner closely with Data Science to operationalize models and insights into business workflows. Define the operating framework that connects measurement, forecasting, audience intelligence, and optimization into a unified growth system.

Cross-Functional Leadership
Act as the single-threaded owner across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Finance, and Marketing.

  • Influence marketing investment strategy and budget allocation frameworks
  • Shape measurement methodologies and decisioning standards
  • Drive build vs buy and platform direction discussions
  • Create alignment in high-ambiguity environments without formal authority

Product Leadership Expectations

  • 8–10+ years in Product Management with meaningful experience in Marketing Science, Ad-Tech, Measurement, Growth, Analytics Platforms, or Data Products.
  • Deep understanding of MMM, incrementality, experimentation, attribution, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Proven track record building platforms rather than isolated features.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with analytical rigor.
  • Experience partnering closely with Data Science teams on model-driven products.
  • AI-native mindset with a bias toward experimentation, automation, and rapid iteration.
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders through evidence-backed recommendations

You’ll get…

  • Competitive hourly rate, 401K company match that vests immediately upon participation, & team bonus opportunities
  • Generous PTO and flexible attendance policy
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits with options at $0 monthly, effective first day of employment
  • Up to 85% discount on subscriptions to HelloFresh meal plans (HelloFresh, Green Chef, Everyplate, and Factor_)
  • Access to Employee Resource Groups that are open to all employees, including those pertaining to BIPOC, women, veterans, parents, and LGBTQ+
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic work environment within a fast-paced, mission-driven company that is disrupting the traditional food supply chain

This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities. However, the Company reserves the right to adjust, modify, or reassign work tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet changing business needs, operational requirements, or other factors.

New York Pay Range
$200,000—$224,500 USD
Colorado Pay Range
$192,000—$224,000 USD

This position is also eligible for the HelloFresh equity plan.
