Description

The Marketing Manager, Retail & Events leads retail, dealer, and trade marketing execution across Grundens' markets, bringing the brand to life through in-store activation, consumer events, and regional activation programs that drive brand awareness, retail excellence, and sell-through. This role owns the events calendar, co-op and dealer marketing programs, regional fixturing and merchandising, Working closely with Sales, Global Marketing, and E-commerce, this is an execution-focused role requiring strong project management, vendor coordination, and attention to logistical detail to ensure a consistent, premium brand experience across all customer touchpoints.

Requirements

ResponsibilitiesRetail Activation & Fixturing
  • Manage the program and vendor relationship of in-store displays, signage, and fixtures across retail partners.
  • Partner with the sales team to understand store-level needs, prioritize requests, and support retailers with best-in-class product presentation.
  • Audit store execution (via photos, store visits, or field reports) to ensure brand standards are met.
Events & Brand Activation
  • Own and maintain the master events calendar (trade shows, dealer events, retail activations, sponsorships)
  • Plan and execute consumer-facing events, retailer open days, and dockside activations.
  • Coordinate logistics for events: booth/space needs, materials, staffing, shipping, and on-site setup.
  • Manage event budgets and vendor contracts in partnership with VP of Marketing.
  • Track post-event recaps and ROI reporting, and measure the effectiveness and commercial impact of activations.
Co-op & Dealer Marketing
  • Own marketing support programs on B2B sales channel by ensuring product listing accuracy, merchandising assortments, sales programs, and assets are easily distributable, accessible and on-brand.
  • Administer the co-op marketing program: process claims, verify compliance, and manage budgets.
  • Support distributors and key accounts with local marketing activities, campaign materials, and product launch assets.
  • Build and maintain robust retail and in-store signage asset suite enabling premier and premium brand presentation across distribution environments.
  • Work closely with the regional sales team to support commercial growth.
Experience Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of experience in similar role with dealer relations and events
  • College degree in marketing, business, or similar fields
  • Experience working with retailers, dealers, or premium consumer brands
  • Proven experience coordinating events, marketing activations, and vendor/contract management.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills who is a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and vendors simultaneously.
  • Comfortable with logistics and operational details (shipping, inventory, budgets, timelines).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, particularly with external partners (dealers, vendors).
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets/budget tracking.
  • Able to represent the brand professionally in public event settings, demonstrating composure and consistently reflecting company values. 
  • Ability to travel consistently up to 50%
  • Passion for the outdoor, fishing, or on-water lifestyle is a plus.

Work location: Hybrid, many routine tasks must be completed onsite at Poulsbo, WA


Physical Requirements: There is a physical element to this role including standing for several hours at a time, and lifting/moving items up to 50 lbs. 


Compensation: This role can expect to earn between $80,000-90,000 annually.
