Overview
Thompson Hospitality is searching for a Associate Marketing Manager. The Associate Marketing Manager supports the execution of our gift card program and other high-impact revenue driving initiatives for the company, such as catering and private events. The role will also contribute to our email marketing program and assist in any pilot projects that will expand our restaurant footprint. The role is ideal for a growth-minded marketing professional who can balance ownership of multiple revenue streams and work effectively in a cross-functional environment. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to plan and implement promotions, campaigns, and local marketing initiatives to drive their revenue initiatives. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, monitoring competitor activity, and supporting the development of marketing campaigns to promote their revenue streams. A blend of analytical focus, creativity, strategic thinking, and project management skills is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategies to grow gift card and catering/private event revenue streams in alignment with overall business goals.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, IT, Finance/Accounting, HR) to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with broader organizational objectives. Become the marketing lead partner for the Catering/Private Events team.
  • Work closely with digital team to understand OLO CRM platform, becoming a key resource for all things digital and email.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, social media, digital advertising, PR, in-store promotions, to promote gift cards, catering and private events.
  • Collaborate with brand/creative team or create and develop engaging promotional materials.
  • Work with marketing technology, guest engagement software, e-commerce platforms, business intelligence tools, point of sales systems, and mealtime/catering platforms.
  • Drive seasonal campaigns, special promotions, and key calendar events to maximize sales for gift cards and catering.
  • Manage end-to-end execution of gift card program to include campaigns, tracking redemption, seasonal pushes, and partnerships.
  • Analyze performance of gift card and catering/private events marketing campaigns and share key insights with leadership.
  • Work closely with operations and sales team to promote catering services and gift card programs.
  • Partner with vendors to enhance the visibility and distribution of gift card programs.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, reporting on ROI and key KPIs through consistent examination of key revenue dashboards.
  • Leverage and present data to make informed decisions, optimize marketing efforts, and forecast revenue growth.
  • Provide regular updates on program progress and success.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovative practices to introduce fresh ideas to the marketing mix.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of marketing experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurant, or retail.
  • Proven success in driving revenue through gift card, catering, or promotional campaigns assisting with marketing materials and collateral.
  • Strong project management skills and comfortable juggling multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and email platforms.
  • Experience with campaign analytics and reporting (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM tools).
  • Has analytical mindset with experience in excel.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite and/or Canva.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and collaboration skills.
  • Creative thinker with a results-driven mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of computer, phone, and office equipment.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to actively participate in meetings, presentations, and team collaborations.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of materials up to 25 pounds (e.g., marketing displays, event setup).
  • Ability to travel locally or regionally for meetings, site visits, or events as needed.
