Position Summary:
The role of Staff Marketing Programs Manager is responsible for advancing the use of next-generation sequencing (NGS) in specific markets that Illumina serves. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of professional and/or educational experience in next generation sequencing as well as experience in multi-channel and integrated marketing communications development and execution. Candidates should also have demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in a large matrixed organization. This role will be responsible for planning, development, and execution of all regional marketing programs as it relates to Illumina's multiomics products and research segments.
Responsibilities:
  • Brainstorm, develop and execute meaningful and measurable regional multi-channel marketing plans in conjunction with global and sub-regional field marketing to drive pipeline acceleration and impact near-term revenue
  • Interpret market data and input from the field marketing team to effectively leverage into marketing programs/action plans
  • Manage the concurrent execution of a variety of marketing tactics within a given program and ensure linkage of tactics to overall segment strategy
  • Effectively identify and use various marketing channels to achieve the desired response within a market segment
  • Report and monitor campaign performance (KPI's) and implement improvements in order to optimize campaign return on investment (ROI), and improve business impact
  • Maintain and oversee campaign budget for respective areas of the business; this includes ensuring 95-100% of quarterly allocation is spent on Marketing Programs to drive near and long-term revenue goals
  • Participate in quarterly and annual planning and review cycles

Requirements:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree
  • Proven track record and experience in leading campaign development and execution
  • Sales experience, research experience in a life science discipline, genomics experience, or hands-on sequencing experience, also highly desirable

The estimated base salary range for the Staff Marketing Programs Manager role based in the United States of America is: $118,200 - $177,200. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The range reflects long-term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
