Job description

A well-respected housing and property organization is seeking a Bilingual Assistant Property Manager for their portfolio in the Providence region. In this role, you will support daily property operations, assist with LIHTC and Section 8 compliance, and use your bilingual skills to serve as a key point of contact for a diverse resident community.

Compensation:
  • $21.00 – $28.00 per hour.
Responsibilities of the Bilingual Assistant Property Manager:
  • Act as a primary contact, using bilingual skills to resolve inquiries and localized concerns.
  • Assist with marketing open units, conducting property tours, and processing new tenant applications.
  • Help complete timely tenant initial and annual recertifications under LIHTC, Section 8, and HUD guidelines.
  • Help monitor rent collections, log payments, and prepare administrative notices.
  • Receive and prioritize resident work orders, coordinating with the maintenance team for swift resolution.
  • Keep physical and digital records meticulously organized to ensure the site is audit-ready.

Qualifications of the Bilingual Assistant Property Manager:
  • Full professional fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is strictly required.
  • 1–3 years in property management, leasing, or residential administration (affordable housing experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with LIHTC, Section 8, and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi, RealPage, or MRI is a significant advantage.
  • Strong multitasking habits, excellent customer service skills, and a sharp eye for detail.
