NeueHealth is seeking a Senior Marketing Automation Specialist to support the execution, measurement and optimization of enterprise-wide patient engagement and marketing initiatives, workforce communications, and operational outreach initiatives. This role serves as a key marketing technology and campaign operations resource responsible for managing audience segmentation, automated communication journeys, campaign deployment, performance reporting and continuous optimization across multiple communications channels.
Working closely with Marketing, Data, Technology, Operations, Clinical, and Compliance teams, the Marketing Automation Specialist will help ensure that targeted communications reach the right audiences at the right time while supporting organizational goals related to growth, engagement, retention, quality outcomes, and patient experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Automation & Campaign Management
  • Manage day-to-day execution of automated marketing and engagement campaigns across email, SMS, and other communication channels.
  • Build, configure, test, launch, and monitor campaign journeys and automated workflows.
  • Develop audience segments and campaign targeting criteria based on business objectives, member/customer attributes, engagement behaviors, and campaign requirements.
  • Manage recurring and one-time campaigns, including acquisition, retention, re-engagement, preventive care, and operational communications.
  • Support campaign calendars and ensure communications are deployed accurately and on schedule.
  • Conduct quality assurance, including content, links, personalization, audience criteria, suppression rules, and campaign logic.
  • Monitor campaign performance and make recommendations to improve engagement and conversion.

Audience & Data Management
  • Partner with Data, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure marketing platforms have access to accurate and appropriately structured audience data.
  • Help define audience requirements and data fields needed for campaign targeting and personalization.
  • Build and maintain campaign-specific audience lists and segments.
  • Support data integration and data-feed requirements between marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, membership systems, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Ensure appropriate suppression, exclusion, consent, and communication-frequency rules are applied.
  • Identify data quality issues that could impact campaign performance and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams.

Patient & Member Engagement
  • Support targeted outreach designed to improve patient/member acquisition, retention, engagement, preventive care completion, and re-engagement.
  • Develop multi-touch communication journeys that may include SMS, email, outbound calls, and direct mail.
  • Support campaigns such as Annual Wellness Visits, coverage validation, appointment scheduling, preventive care, member education, and other priority initiatives.
  • Help create personalized communications based on audience characteristics, engagement history, and campaign objectives.
  • Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to ensure messaging is accurate, appropriate, and aligned with organizational priorities.

Reporting & Optimization
  • Develop campaign performance reports and dashboards tracking key metrics such as delivery, open rates, click-through rates, response rates, conversions, and engagement.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve campaign performance.
  • Conduct A/B testing and other optimization initiatives.
  • Translate campaign data into actionable recommendations for Marketing and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation of campaign performance, audience criteria, workflows, and lessons learned.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Marketing, Communications, Data, IT, Engineering, Operations, Clinical, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for marketing automation capabilities and campaign execution.
  • Translate business requirements into campaign workflows, audience requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in project planning, requirements gathering, testing, and implementation of new marketing automation capabilities.
  • Help establish standardized processes and best practices for enterprise marketing communications.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting marketing automation, CRM administration, campaign operations, customer/member engagement, or marketing technology platforms.
  • Experience building and managing email and/or SMS campaigns.
  • Experience with audience segmentation and data-driven campaign targeting.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation workflows and customer/member journeys.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Data, Technology, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Campaign platforms or a comparable enterprise marketing automation platform.
  • Healthcare, health insurance, healthcare technology, or other regulated-industry experience.
  • Experience working with member, patient, customer, or employee data.
  • Experience supporting SMS, email, outbound call, and multi-channel engagement campaigns.
  • Familiarity with CRM, data integration, APIs, data feeds, and audience management concepts.
  • Experience with campaign analytics and reporting.
  • Understanding of consent, privacy, and regulatory considerations associated with customer/member communications.
  • Experience supporting both external customer/member communications and internal employee communications.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
