Job description

THE POSITIONOur roster has an opening with your name on it
FanDuel is building committed off-hours coverage to execute reactive campaigns faster and capitalize on time-sensitive marketing opportunities. The Marketing Operations Senior Associate is a newly created, blended role that closes the coverage gap between the end of the daytime shift and the close of business, ensuring Promo Ops and CRM Ops campaigns keep moving during the hours when moment-led marketing opportunities most often emerge.
This role blends foundational execution responsibilities from both Promotion Operations and CRM Operations rather than deep specialization in either. You'll execute promotional setups, deploy and QA CRM campaigns, and perform first-line triage on customer-facing issues, escalating to on-call/pager duty when a problem falls outside your scope. The title reflects the range of Operations disciplines you'll work across, not necessarily a deep expertise in a single function, and this position is expected to grow into greater depth over time as cross-training continues.
In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
  • Execute reactive, time-sensitive campaigns across both Promo Ops and CRM Ops during scheduled hours, including but not limited to evenings & weekend coverage, supporting moment-led marketing initiatives tied to live sports action, breaking news, and other real-time opportunities
  • Execute promotional setup across enterprise platforms (Sportsbook, Casino, Racing) in line with the team's 99%+ accuracy standard
  • Deploy and QA CRM campaigns across email, push, and other channels using established templates, playbooks, and segmentation already defined by the CRM Ops team
  • Perform preliminary triage on customer-facing incidents related to live promotions or CRM sends; escalate to pager duty/on-call resources per established protocols when an issue falls outside your scope
  • Conduct systematic reviews of live promotions and in-flight CRM campaigns, flagging discrepancies to maintain quality standards
  • Review promotional and CRM copy, terms, and creative for Responsible Gaming and regulatory compliance before anything goes live on your shift
  • Maintain clear documentation, status updates, and handoff notes to ensure smooth continuity with the daytime Promo Ops and CRM Ops teams
  • Support intake and prioritization of incoming requests during evening hours, streamlining workflows across both functions
  • Build working familiarity with the core systems used by both Promo Ops and CRM Ops (e.g., the promotional engine and marketing automation/ESP platform) to support cross-trained coverage
  • Escalate ambiguous, high-risk, or novel issues to the appropriate manager or on-call resource rather than resolving independently

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing operations, campaign execution, customer support, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of promotional mechanics and/or CRM campaign execution, with genuine interest in cross-training across both
  • Comfortable following documented processes and escalation protocols, with sound judgment about when to escalate versus resolve independently
  • In-depth understanding and proven ability to execute core Promotion & CRM Ops tasks
  • Advanced understanding of promotional mechanics and customer segmentation strategies
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with less direct, real-time supervision
  • Clear, concise written communication skills for shift handoffs and status updates across teams
  • Ability to work independently during evening hours and stay calm under time pressure
  • Availability to work one of the required schedule(s):
  1. 4:00pm-12:00am, Thursday-Monday, including holidays
  1. 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturday-Monday & 4:00pm-12:00am Tuesday-Wednesday, including holidays
  • Strong knowledge of and interest in sports and sports betting
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and systems (e.g., Braze, Xtremepush, Movable Ink)
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with ability to effectively prioritize competing demands
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspaces
  • SQL or data query experience a plus but not required
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications
