Job description

This position is responsible for:
Providing support to the Marketing Manager, assist in the implementation and execution of the marketing and PR plan for the Augusta command of the Salvation Army; maintain regular updates to all Web content; serve as a secondary point of contact to all advertising and media contacts; and work with other departmental staff on marketing projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Marketing Manager. Assists with daily operation of the marketing & PR department as assigned by the Manager ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Assist with development of the annual command wide marketing plan and quarterly reviews.
  • Meet regularly to assist and provide feedback to directors and managers in the development of marketing and public promotions for their programs and events, coordinating and centralizing efforts, to include the following: promoting and marketing needs of new and existing programs; reviewing and approving marketing and public relations, development and execution of special events marketing; coordinate media and collateral needs to support marketing and sales plans for all departments.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with the Public Information Program for the Command which includes sponsored "Major Events" and work in conjunction with the Sales / Events department to market events at the Kroc Center.
  • Write and create the Kroc Center Program Guides and the Command annual report, and monthly employee newsletter

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements: Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited to no exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt and dust and the like.
