Job Details
Job Purpose:
The Graduate Assistant for Licensing and Brand Management will support the oversight and growth of the University's licensing program and brand presence. This hands-on learning role assists in protecting and promoting the Coastal Carolina University brand identity, supporting the consistent use of trademarks and logos, and helping maximize revenue through strategic licensing partnerships.
The Graduate Assistant will work alongside the Director of University Marketing to assist in developing and implementing strategies that enhance brand recognition, support intellectual property protection, and promote licensed products. This individual will assist with day-to-day administrative tasks of the University's licensing program, ranging from vendor communications and product review tracking to royalty reporting and brand monitoring.
Job Duties:
Assist in maintaining and distributing comprehensive brand guidelines to support the consistent and appropriate use of all Coastal Carolina University trademarks, logos, and intellectual property.
Support the monitoring and protection of the University's brand integrity by helping identify potential unauthorized uses of trademarks and intellectual property, and coordinate with internal departments as directed.
Assist in tracking royalties from licensed vendors, organizing financial data, and preparing regular reports on licensing revenue, performance metrics, and brand health.
Assist in developing marketing and promotional concepts to support the licensing program and increase awareness of licensed products, collaborating with the marketing and communications team on promotional campaigns.
Provide administrative support for managing relationships and communications with the University's third-party licensing agent, CLC.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions: Office environment; ability to balance graduate coursework with a 20-hour weekly work schedule.

Required Qualifications
Must be an active CCU student.
Acceptance into a graduate degree program at Coastal Carolina University (preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field).
Strong foundational understanding of marketing principles, brand management, or intellectual property. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience or coursework in collegiate licensing, branding, or digital marketing. Familiarity with higher education landscapes and database software.
