Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Graphic Designer, under the supervision of the Senior Graphic Designer, is responsible for the creation of design assets for one or more of our brands, including Eloquii, CUUP, June & Vie, and Dia. Assets include emails, social media campaigns and advertisements, homepage creative, and other promotional materials. The timely upkeep includes, but not limited to, updating the website and web promotions in a timely fashion with market reactions such as fashion news/trends. The Assistant Graphic Designer should maintain design skills with strong understanding of typography, industry design standards, and social media best-practices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use graphics design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) to create diverse content for email campaigns, website layouts, and other marketing materials that thoughtfully embodies the brand's identity and effectively communicates the message.
  • Manages workflow based on established deadlines and ensures projects are delivered on time while upholding responsibility for quality and precision.
  • Support SR Graphic Designer in updating assets based on Marketing and Creative feedback and delivering accurate files to proper channels in a timely manner.
  • Analyze the visual direction and style of each campaign. This involves understanding the brand identity, target audience, and overall messaging.
  • Translate and create visually compelling compositions that effectively convey the campaign’s purpose.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in the industry to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Actively participate in brand meetings to verify that all creative elements align with the brand’s guidelines and requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate brand standards into all creative materials.
  • Ensure that visual assets, messaging, and design choices maintain consistency with the brand’s identity.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to generate innovative ideas for design projects.
  • Undertake special creative projects for brands as assigned by the manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (in design field a plus)
  • 2-3 years' experience in graphic design or related field
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Suite with an emphasis on Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • After Effects and motion design a plus
  • A strong understanding of layout, typography, shape, and color work is required.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and communicate are necessary.
  • Ability to be flexible, open-minded, and comfortable with constructive feedback.
