Job description

Location:  On site at location listed in job posting. 

Summary:

Key member of the Mortgage Secondary Marketing team within First Horizon Bank and will be responsible for the day-to-day activities related to the hedging of the mortgage secondary pipeline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages and analyzes the mortgage secondary pipeline and executes hedging and pool trading transactions
• Manages and monitors hedge performance by reviewing reports to mitigate risk while providing accurate data
• Utilizes advanced analytic and modeling skills to support secondary marketing functions around loan pricing and fallout
• Assist with mortgage valuation analytics, report development, testing and feedback
• Complies with bank policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines
• Establishes and maintains secondary market investor and dealer relationships
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:

  • Bachelor (4-year college) degree and 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience with trading and hedging techniques.
  • Advanced understanding and application of risk management and operational risk.
  • Advanced modeling, spreadsheet, and database skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
