Job description

Role and Responsibilities
As a member of our Corporate Competitive Intelligence team, the Global Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for providing critical competitive sales assets for the team, with a focus on actionable competitive/market intelligence-based deliverables to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Conduct deep, data-driven analyses of competitors, including their strategies, product offerings, pricing models, and market positioning.
  • Report on key market movements, trends, implications, and shifts that impact our stakeholders.
  • Create and deliver Battlecards, Competitive briefs, SWOT's, Rebuttals etc. to enable and empower our global sales organization.
  • In the production of secondary research, leverage AI to accelerate content development while maintaining the integrity of the output.
  • Conduct ad hoc primary research to provide CI support for strategy, as well as sales and marketing initiatives and opportunities
  • Drive adoption of CI best practices, frameworks, and standards across the organization with our extended network of market analysts.
  • Maintain high quality standards for CI outputs, with rigor and accuracy, ensuring insights meet senior-leader expectations.
  • Ensure feedback from sales, tech sales, partners, and customer engagements is systematically captured and reflected in CI outputs.
  • Participate with the CI team to maintain operational effectiveness (dashboards, posts, newsletters, presenting, etc).
  • Work with CI team to raise engagement levels of the larger 3DS intelligence community.
  • Maintain high standards in maintaining ethical CI practices.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. Degrees primarily focused on Software Development, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Business are not considered equivalent for this role.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience, or a Master's degree in Engineering/Engineering Management with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with the customer-side use, deployment, implementation, support, or evaluation of PLM, CAD, CAE, or enterprise engineering software solutions.
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical, sales, consulting, implementation, or support role involving PLM, CAD, CAE, or enterprise engineering software. Experience with a CAD/PLM reseller, engineering software provider, or competitor such as PTC, Siemens, Autodesk, ANSYS, or similar is highly relevant.
  • Strong technical understanding of engineering processes, workflows, and enterprise engineering software, with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts, capabilities, limitations, and business implications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), including its capabilities, limitations, and practical application within engineering and enterprise software environments.
  • Exceptional synthesis and analytical skills, with the ability to take complex technical information from multiple sources, identify the key insights, distinguish signal from noise, and communicate clear, concise conclusions to business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Hands-on experience using or deploying one or more of the following: SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, ENOVIA, Creo, Windchill, NX, Teamcenter, or comparable PLM/CAD/CAE platforms.
  • Experience working directly with engineering, manufacturing, product development, or R&D organizations.
  • Experience evaluating or comparing competing engineering software solutions and technologies.
  • Experience translating complex technical concepts into clear business implications, recommendations, or executive-level insights.
  • Experience with competitive intelligence, technology analysis, market intelligence, or technical research is a plus; however, the ability to learn the competitive intelligence delivery methodology is less important than having a strong technical foundation in engineering and engineering software.

Dassault Systèmes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience. Salary Pay Transparency
Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $90000 and $125000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
