Take Ownership of the Service Lane at Our Flagship Florida Location
$2,500 Signing Bonus + Relocation Assistance Available for Qualified Candidates
Boater's World Marine Centers is expanding our service department in Lake Placid, FL and is actively hiring a Marine Service Advisor to support our growing operation.
This is our flagship Florida store, with high unit volume and a steady flow of service work. You'll operate as the primary Service Writer, giving you full ownership of your lane and direct impact on both customer experience and shop performance.
We are prioritizing Florida-based candidates or those ready to relocate immediately.

What You'll Do
  • Greet customers and provide a professional, customer-first experience
  • Document repair needs, unit condition, and service history
  • Create accurate repair orders and estimates using Lightspeed
  • Communicate job status, timelines, and approvals throughout the process
  • Coordinate closely with technicians, parts, and vendors
  • Identify and recommend additional service and maintenance needs
  • Manage your service lane from intake through completion and follow-up

Requirements
  • 1-3 years of Service Writer / Service Advisor experience (marine or powersports preferred)
  • General knowledge of boats, marine engines, or similar equipment
  • Experience with dealership systems (Lightspeed preferred)
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking ability
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage your own workload and take ownership of results
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, accountable approach

Schedule & Work Environment
  • Full-time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Sundays off + one weekday off
  • Saturdays required
  • Overtime may be required during peak seasons
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and reaching

Compensation
  • Base pay plus performance-based earnings tied to repair orders written under your name
