Honeywell Aerospace is a global leader in technology and manufacturing, committed to delivering innovative solutions for our customers. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Program Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of programs delivering critical capabilities to our defense and OEM clients within the maritime sector. This role specifically supports the planning, development, and delivery of mechanical actuation devices in support of the nation's surface and sub-surface fleet and will require regular direct engagements with our customers - Newport News Shipbuilding and the U.S. Navy - as well as our principal suppliers. This role is ideal for a Program Manager with experience in the defense industry and familiarity with the proposal, execution, and financial metrics typically associated with defense programs. Familiarity with the U.S. Navy's supplier management structure and processes is a plus.
As the Senior Program Manager for Maritime Business, you will regularly interface with suppliers, key members of our customer base, and internal stakeholders at Honeywell Aerospace. You will be a critical contributor to proposal development and will be responsible for managing customer relationships through proactive communication that includes but is not limited to responsiveness to RFIs, RFPs, and management of all program deliverables. Your organization, strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to drive results will be essential to the success of Honeywell Aerospace's maritime programs.
This role will report directly to the Director, Navy and Marine Corps business at Honeywell.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • In support of assigned programs, serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Navy and OEM customers and suppliers.
  • Deliver customer programs within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Present program status, plans, and corrective actions accurately and confidently to senior stakeholders within Honeywell Aerospace and to customers at the executive and SES levels.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through strong working relationships across Engineering, ISC, Finance, Pricing, Contracts, and Customer Support. Foster a culture of accountability and ownership across integrated product teams.
  • Manage and report program financials per Honeywell Aerospace's established PM processes and best practices.
  • Ensure alignment of customer programs with strategic objectives.
  • Support decision-making in marketing, pricing, contracting, and execution of new business opportunities.

Qualifications
Must Have:
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in program management or related roles in the defense industry.
  • Strong understanding of program management principles and methodologies, to include financial accounting metrics and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs, material planning, procurement, and SAP literacy.
  • Strong sense of initiative and a willingness to solve problems from end-to-end.

The annual base salary range for this position is <$168,000 - $210,000>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
This role is incentive eligible.
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
