Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Marine Mobile Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of marine equipment. This position operates primarily in the field, traveling to customer locations such as marinas, docks, and private residences. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on boats and marine systemsService and repair outboard, inboard, and sterndrive enginesDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issuesPerform routine maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, impellers, winterization, etc.)Install and repair marine accessories (electronics, pumps, controls, etc.)Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, timelines, and repair costsComplete work orders, service reports, and documentation accuratelyMaintain service vehicle, tools, and parts inventoryFollow all safety procedures and company standardsQualifications2+ years of marine or small engine repair experience (preferred)Strong working knowledge of marine engines and systemsAbility to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues independentlyValid driver's license with a clean driving recordStrong time management and organizational skillsExcellent customer service and communication abilitiesBasic computer or mobile app skills for service documentationPreferred ExperienceExperience servicing major outboard brands including Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, and SuzukiMarine technician certification (a plus)Experience with rigging, controls, and marine electronicsWelding or fabrication experience (a plus)Work EnvironmentMobile, field-based positionWork performed at marinas, boatyards, and residential docksExposure to varying weather conditionsPhysical work including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
