Job description

Role Overview

Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Service Production Manager 3 to join our team at the US Marine Corps Recruiting Depot in San Diego, CA. This location offers a rotating varied menu that includes specialty bars and fast food. This Dining Facility operates 7 days a week, 365 days per year and serves over 3 million meals per year to the fine men and women of the U.S. Marine Corps.. The Food Production Manager 3 maintains food quality, assists in the maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintaining high customer satisfaction is a priority. Duties include training, team building, and planning/scheduling at this highly structured, high profile account. This position will be supervising Sodexo and contract employees.

The ideal candidate must have large volume food production experience andstrong focus on customer service. Working under the direction of the General Manager the Food Production Manager 3 will assist in overseeing the FOH. Food Production Manager 3should be ServSafe certified and familiar with HACCP procedures.

What You'll Do
  • Utilizes Sodexo resources, recipes, systems and programs to direct daily operations including; food production, inventory, product deliveries, invoices, and procurement operations.

  • Ensures employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources to perform their job, and meet goals, cost controls and deadlines as assigned.

  • Establishes and maintains a safe work environment including both food and physical safety in order to comply with all regulatory and Sodexo standards

  • Complies with budget requirements by controlling costs (i.e. labor, inventory, equipment, materials) and making adjustments when necessary

  • Supervises employees by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operating standards

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
