CTR Group is seeking a Test Engineer II - Marine Engineering with Structural Design Focus, for a Government site in Williamsburg, VA. A full-time career opportunity.

Pay Rate: $44.79 - $49.88 Per Hour Plus Benefits

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Test Engineer II with a structural design background for the Engineering Department of a Government facility in the Williamsburg area.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering or Marine Engineering.
  • Preferred to have 3 to 5 years’ experience working in an engineering field.
  • Experience with structural design - basic structures, strength of materials, load-bearing design - is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated skill set working with 3D modeling preferred, especially with Solid Edge and or Solid Works.
  • Experience with MS Projects, MS Excel, 3-D modeling, Auto Cad, Word, Adobe preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Engineering Fundamentals including:

Design of Basic Structures

Strength of Materials

Statics

Vector Mechanics

Fluid Dynamics

Electrical Systems

Computer Science

Basic Physics

Basic Testing Procedures

  • Must be able to communicate and convey technical details and information to other engineers and

non-technical personnel.

  • Special consideration will be given to individuals who have training or experience with any of the following items:

-- Shipboard systems,

--Oil Spill Response equipment,

--Hazardous materials,

--Ship Salvage & Diving,

--Rigging,

--or Underwater Remote-Controlled Vehicles

  • Should have experience and knowledge of utilizing and implementing Standard Test Procedures with regards to testing equipment and or integrated systems.
