Job Title: AI Analyst
Reports to: VP/GM
Summary
The AI Analyst supports the VP/GM and cross-functional teams in identifying, evaluating, and implementing AI and data solutions. The role focuses on analysis, prototyping, and measurement of AI use cases within strict defense and compliance guardrails.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business processes to identify AI and data opportunities that improve efficiency, quality, and decisions.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data to support AI model development and performance tracking.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics to measure AI initiative impact (ROI, risk, operational outcomes).
  • Run feasibility assessments and proofs-of-concept for AI tools (e.g., predictive models, copilots, automation workflows).
  • Document AI use cases, data sources, risks, and controls in line with security, privacy, and defense standards.
  • Partner with IT, data engineering, and security to ensure data access and use follow established guardrails and policies.
  • Support training and change management with clear documentation, demos, and user guidance.

Preferred Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field; Master's a plus.
  • 2-5 years in data analysis, business analytics, or applied AI/ML, ideally in regulated or security-conscious environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one analytics language (Python or R), plus BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with core ML concepts (classification, regression, NLP, clustering) and basic model evaluation.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance, especially for defense or highly regulated sectors.
  • Ability to translate business problems into analytical questions and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
