Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Department

$20,000 Commitment Bonus (2 Years)

Schedule: Three 12 Hour Shifts, Full-Time Nights (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)

Location: Maria Parham Medical Center - Henderson, NC

Summary:

Provides direct patient care in the Medical Surgical Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.ย 

Reports to: Director or Manager of Medical Surgical Department

How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
  • Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
  • PALS, ACLSย and Handle with Care Preferred
