Job description

Barn Cleanout Truck Driver

Full Time - Hourly

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base hiring pay range for this role is between $22.00-$30.75 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Job Responsibilities

  • Help crew clean company and contract turkey barns
  • Load, haul and/or spread turkey manure in a timely and accurate manner as described by customer and directed by supervisor
  • Duties include: service/maintenance on trucks, bobcats, floor sweeper and floor blower
  • Recording of manure spread piled or recycled accurately and legibly
  • Ability to read and understand plant maps and aerial maps for field locations
  • Position may require variable start and finish times 
  • This job requires majority of time in bobcat/skid loader operational duties and litter recycling procedures
  • Follow all company bio-security policies and procedures
  • Wear proper PPE at all times
  • Follow all company safety rules and regulations
  • Able to communicate well with others

Minimum Qualifications

  • Class A or B CDL license with no restrictions and medical card
  • One year driving experience or a certificate of completion from an accredited driving school
  • Ability to lift 40 - 50 pounds occasionally
  • Able to work independently with limited guidance
  • Able to work in upper Midwest outdoor environment year round
  • Ability to withstand below zero temperatures daily
  • Ability to withstand hot / humid temperatures daily
  • Able to read and write English
