As the Manufacturing Technology Manager, you will be part of our Health and Biosciences Business Unit, and you'll play a key role in advancing industrial biotechnology through technical leadership and strategic execution.

Where You'll Make a Difference
  • Lead the Manufacturing Technology function at a large-scale industrial biotechnology site, managing both project portfolios and team performance.
  • Develop and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team through goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and recognition.
  • Translate Health and Biosciences Manufacturing Technology and Operations goals into actionable departmental initiatives.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects, ensuring effective communication with internal stakeholders, business leaders, and the global Manufacturing Technology organization.
  • Support operations by providing robust process, equipment, and automation design solutions, including proactive troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase capacity, enhance product quality, support safety enhancements, and reduce operational costs.
  • Collaborate with site capital and automation teams to align resources and develop the site's long-term master plan.
  • Partner with business leaders and the Process Research and Development team to implement new products and process changes.
  • Contribute to global strategies and initiatives as a member of the Health and Biosciences Manufacturing Technology leadership community.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of engineering experience, preferably in industrial or biochemical processing.
  • Proven experience in team leadership or project management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial biotechnology processes, including fermentation, downstream processing, and both liquid and solid formulation.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple locations, functions, and business divisions.
  • Strong decision-making, prioritization, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with confidence in engaging senior leadership.
  • Solid financial and business acumen, including experience in project justification and budgeting.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
