The Manufacturing Technology Engineer is a key role responsible for ensuring adhesive manufacturing processes are safe, scalable, cost-effective, and capable of delivering world-class quality. This role drives successful commercialization and scale-up of new technologies while supporting business growth, particularly within the Advanced Mobility and Electric Vehicle (EV) markets.
The engineer serves as the Manufacturing Technology (MT) subject matter expert, leading process development, industrialization, and continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing operations. The role combines deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and cross-functional leadership to accelerate innovation, optimize performance, and enhance manufacturing competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities
Scale-Up Excellence & Process Optimization
  • Lead and continuously improve scale-up activities from pilot through commercial production, ensuring processes are safe, repeatable, and high-performing.
  • Reduce the cost, cycle time, and variability of scale-up trials through standardization, data-driven learning, and deployment of best practices.
  • Improve yield, throughput, and overall process economics with a focus on manufacturability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Technology Selection & EV Enablement
  • Provide technical evaluations of process technologies, equipment, and scale-up approaches, including risk, feasibility, and cost-benefit assessments.
  • Support technology selection and manufacturing readiness for growth initiatives aligned with the Advanced Mobility and EV strategy.
  • Ensure manufacturing technology decisions align with global standards, business objectives, and long-term growth needs.

Project Execution & Growth Programs
  • Serve as the Manufacturing Technology lead or key technical contributor on capital and growth projects, ensuring successful industrialization and achievement of project objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership during project development, scale-up, startup, and commercialization activities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks throughout project execution.

Quality, Cost & Continuous Improvement
  • Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and improve trial success rates through standardized methodologies, robust process controls, and RCCM practices.
  • Develop and maintain process standards, operating procedures, and control strategies to ensure consistent manufacturing performance.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions for scale-up and production issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, reliability, and cost competitiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Operations, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Capital Engineering to ensure seamless commercialization and production readiness.
  • Serve as the technical lead and escalation point for complex manufacturing, process, and scale-up challenges.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best-practice deployment across sites and global manufacturing networks.

Requirements
  • BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong project leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
