Job Title
Manufacturing IT Support Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing IT Support Engineer to provide technical support for manufacturing IT infrastructure, applications, and end-user systems in a multi-shift production environment. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, supporting infrastructure and business applications, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to ensure system reliability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Support physical and virtual server environments running Windows and Linux.
  • Maintain and support network equipment in a Cisco environment.
  • Assist with incident resolution, issue triage, and business continuity activities.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to prioritize improvements and resolve technical issues.
  • Support deployment and maintenance of manufacturing technology solutions and connected devices.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and support procedures.
  • Assist with workload management and assigned IT operational tasks.
  • Support a multi-shift manufacturing environment, including flexible hours and weekend support when required.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Windows Server (2016 or later) and/or Linux server administration.
  • Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches, including basic configuration, troubleshooting, and cable installation.
  • Willingness to learn Cisco Software-Defined Architecture (SDA).
  • Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and ADFS.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere.
  • Experience supporting Android and iOS devices, including smartphones and tablets.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting Windows desktops, PCs, printers, and office automation technologies.
  • Experience with handheld scanners and imaging devices.
  • Manufacturing automation experience (such as control systems or PLCs) is preferred but not required.
  • PowerShell scripting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and IT support skills.
