Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware, including static equipment, moving ground equipment, and flight vehicles. In this position, you will own large parts of the end-to-end manufacturing KPI tracking - enhancing transparency and generating actional reports to support strategic and tactical decision making. You'll support increasing efficiencies throughout our end-to-end processes, all with a focus on introducing scale and resiliency into our growing people and tools footprint. If you thrive in fast-paced, technical environments and excel at juggling multiple responsibilities, we want to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Consider the job as a "jack of all trades" type of role and be comfortable with various types of projects, some might be more dedicated to process while others are more dedicated to system solutions
  • Be proactive, self-driven and relentless when approaching problems. Don't be afraid to charge towards a solution, if there is a clear problem or gap with the work the team does, action on it
  • Be a collaborative partner, someone who doesn't shy away from brainstorming sessions but rather is excited to learn new things from your team and the teams you are closely aligned with
  • Be comfortable in an extremely fast-paced environment and be prepared to juggle a couple of projects at a time. There will be a variety of projects that can be taken on, and there is always an opportunity to dive deep or just solely "project manage" something.
Systems and Processes Improvement
  • Develop a deep technical understanding of how our manufacturing engineering enterprise systems (ERP, MRP, PLM etc.) function
  • Leverage system feedback from the manufacturing engineering teams and formulate an extensive feature roadmap
  • Analyze best practices across all cross functional teams (inclusive of Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Material Management & Procurement) and develop ways to standardize and implement end to end processes across all teams.
  • Assist in the documentation and standardization of business procedures and reporting protocols across production
Program Oversight and Support
  • Support program managers and manufacturing leadership in preparation and management of critical technical and business forums
  • Serve as the translator of technical problems to business aligned solutions in a clear and concise manner
  • Provide structure to ambiguity and helping drive manufacturing engineering stakeholders towards decisions on tactical and strategic issues
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business impact and outcomes
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Execute scrappy analyses on short-timelines to get answers quickly, while also considering more scalable solutions that will make Anduril successful in the long term
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement manufacturing processes.
  • Facilitate data-driven decision-making by providing timely and accurate manufacturing information.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, data systems, business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on system issues, program support, or process improvement.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and can intuitively think about problems in terms of numbers and data-models
  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to present complex data clearly to diverse audiences
  • A reliable self-starter, highly organized, resourceful, with attention to detail
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working in a technical production environment
  • Familiarity with MES, ERP, and PLM systems and how they interface with each other and with operations
  • Familiarity with Confluence/JIRA, SharePoint and Airtable
  • Familiarity with production & business operations
