Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Take direction from Supervisor or lead to accomplish set production goals. This position involves operating manufacturing equipment to increase production efficiency.

DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Participate as an active team member of production in assigned area.
  1. Perform repetitive tasks as assigned including but not limited to operating manufacturing equipment, handling both unfinished and finished product, boxing and packaging product, transporting product to and from the production line, inspecting product for quality and defects, adjusting machine settings as needed, cleaning and sanitizing workstations, disposing of trash and other refuse, and utilizing all manner of small hand tools, meat scissors, and knives.
  1. Assist in training of co-workers as directed.
  1. Ensure compliance with established food safety programs, including HACCP programs, SSOPs and GMPs.
  1. Effectively follow directions of the lead, supervisor, or manager at all times.
  1. Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  1. Effectively communicate and positively interact with team members in all departments.
  1. Attend meetings and trainings as required.
  1. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

  1. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  1. Ability to work in a refrigerated environment ranging from 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  1. MUST be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes to the needs of production.
  1. MUST be a team player.
  1. MUST be able to pass required physical including demonstrating your ability to lift the required weight for each position.
  1. MUST be able to stand and/or walk for entire 8-hour shift.
  1. MUST wear correct job specific PPE as designated by company policy.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  1. Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment preferred.
  1. Experience working with knives preferred.
