Description:

Leads, oversees & manages projects, leaders, & staff in department. Solves production flow problems, follows up on recuts/andons/missing parts (expediting).

Leads Daily Management board. Follows up on issues and fixes root causes.

Assure labor balancing is done daily; minimize indirect labor


Production planning and scheduling for department; meet or exceed company tact times.


Assure parts & tools are available and on-time to work cells


Identifies/requests tools and shop supplies; submit to Production Manager for approval

Hire/fire/discipline/reward production employees Production organization, safety, & 5S Manage overtime and labor cost/scrap reduction

Ensure product quality; work with Quality department on check sheets; assure timely corrections to quality issues & root cause analysis


Coordinate w/ other shift operations.


Accountability for continuous training of staff; set training goals and meet them

Requirements:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and targets.

· Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and efficiency goals.

· Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime

· Manage employee attendance and timekeeping

· Resolve employee conflicts and maintain a positive work environment

· Maintain accurate production records and reports

· Manages departmental projects, team leaders, and staff, ensuring efficient production flow and timely resolution of issues (e.g., rework, downtime, material shortages)

· Participate in daily management meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma/GED required Associates Degree Preferred

Experience: 5 years Manufacturing experience with 2 years of Supervisory experience

Certifications: Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, Andon, or other relevant manufacturing certifications.

Reading Ability: Must be able to read and understand English
