As a Manufacturing Co-Op,you will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working closely with site engineering, operations, and production teams to improve the efficiency, reliability, and overall performance of manufacturing processes.A significant portionof theprogramwill be spent on the production floor, building an understanding of how products are manufactured,observingday-to-day operations, attending production and control meetings, andidentifyingopportunities to improve how our lines and equipment operate.
Throughout theco-op, you may support projects focused on process optimization, loss analysis, waste reduction, equipment performance, and production efficiency. This could include analyzing production data and line performance,identifyingsources of downtime or material loss, investigating root causes, and partnering with site teams to develop and implement solutions.Co-Opsmay alsohave the opportunity tolead orparticipatein Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives, using methodologies and principles such as Lean Six Sigma, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Projects may also include updating process maps for specific areas of the plant, evaluating production or packaging processes,optimizingkey pieces of equipment, and supporting improvements to standard operatingprocedures.Co-Opsmay work directly with operators and technical teams to understand current processes and help update process documentation, training materials, work instructions, or operating manuals to ensure improvements can be effectively implemented and sustained.
ThisCo-Opis designed to provide exposure to the full manufacturing environment;from understanding what happens directly on the production line to using data and continuous improvement tools to solve real operational challenges.Co-Opswill collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and other site teams while developing practical experience in process engineering, problem solving, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing aBachelor'sDegreein:MechanicalEngineering, Industrial Engineering,or anyrelatedEngineering related degree.

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with a preferred expected graduation date betweenDecember 2027 and May 2028.

• Must bein close proximity toMondelez International's Naperville, IL Plant (1555 Ogden Ave, Naperville, IL 60540)

• Must be availableto do full-time hours (40 hoursper week) over the Summer, and part-time hours during theSpring andFall 2027school semester.

• Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and withMondelez International(i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status.

Compensation

• The expected compensation weekly payrangeis$1,000 - $1,300,based onyour expectedgraduationdate.

• Compensation rates for Summer Interns& Co-Opsispre-determined and non-negotiable.
