Great Southern Wood Preserving in Lake Panasoffkee is looking for a self-starter, motivated, and energetic team player who wants to make a difference in our company.
Safety is #1 at Great Southern. It is very important that the individual can follow all safety rules and regulations. The position we are looking to fill is in our panel manufacturing plant. You will be working in a team environment, manually building fence panels and gates.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must have good mathematical skills.
  • Be willing and able to work in all types of weather environments (cold, hot, rain)
  • Must have an excellent attendance record
  • Be able to communicate effectively (have a clear command of the English language).
  • Be willing to learn and have the ambition to advance when opportunity arises.
  • Be able to stand, bend, stoop, and reach for an extended period of time.
  • Be a team player.
  • Be flexible (Be willing and available to work overtime as needed).
  • Be able to follow directions and understand when to ask questions.
  • Must be able to identify problems and communicate issues effectively.
  • Have the ability learn the different lumber sizes, grades, and treatments.
  • Must have the ability to identify the correct end tags required to pull for the production run.
  • Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
