Description

VICE PRESIDENT, DATA

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY

The Vice President of Data is an executive role responsible for unifying the company's data ecosystems across its four business units: a national hot food program serving grocery and convenience store partners, a proprietary grocery chain, a restaurant brand, and a manufacturing operation. This leader owns the company's data strategy end-to-end, from pipeline architecture and business intelligence reporting to predictive analytics and executive-level insight. The VP of Data serves as a key liaison to the leadership team, translating business complexity into data advantage, and works closely with the CEO and senior leaders to align the data function with company-wide priorities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Vision

  • Define and execute a multi-year data and analytics strategy aligned to business goals across all four verticals
  • Champion a data-first culture throughout the organization, including at the executive level
  • Identify and prioritize high-value analytics opportunities across customer behavior, supply chain, menu and category performance, manufacturing operations, and partner program analytics
  • Develop and maintain the data platform roadmap, including tooling, infrastructure, and capability investments

Team & Department Leadership

  • Lead, grow, and mentor the Data & Reporting department, including Data Engineering, Data Operations, Power BI, and any future roles

  • Build credibility and trust across business units as a strategic partner, not only a technical resource

Governance, Infrastructure & Execution

  • Oversee the full data platform: pipelines, data warehouse, BI tooling (Power BI), and operational data flows
  • Own data governance, quality standards, and access controls across all data environments
  • Manage the department budget, vendor contracts, and technology procurement
