Summary
This position functions as a digital press and finishing operator. Position is responsible for executing daily workflow schedule, quality control, and machine maintenance. This position functions as a rotating position between digital press's and finishing gear. A high level of product quality is expected from each job, as well as meeting and exceeding production standards. The role also includes working with others in the company to provide the highest level of customer service. This role also will be asked to help other departments when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Help to reach company's customer service, profit, sales, and growth goals.
  • Read and clearly understand operation manuals and follow the guidelines set.
  • Perform job setups, quality checks,
  • Maintain an organized and clean workstation.
  • Must be able to operate and run department equipment, as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and troubleshooting on equipment.
  • Meet production standards set for each job and ensure the highest level of quality is achieved.
  • Follow department operational policies and procedures.
  • Work in a team environment with other employees to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Perform all other duties assigned and those that may be necessary to achieve company and departmental goals.

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Printing/Finishing experience a plus, but not necessary. On-the-job training provided.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply basic math concepts (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Physical and Working Conditions
The job is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to large equipment, noise, and materials related to the printing process. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop or kneel.
