Summary:
 The Operations Manager leads Manufacturing, Facilities, and Operations to drive efficiency, profitability, quality, and team performance. This role involves strategic planning, process optimization, and strong people leadership to ensure seamless operations, continuous improvement, and an engaged workforce. The Operations Manager is expected to lead in alignment with Inovar’s core values—Customer Focus, Partnership Driven, and Team Engagement—while role modeling behaviors that support a positive culture and productive work environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term manufacturing strategies, including workforce planning, capital investments, and technology integration.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and employee development to build and retain a collaborative, high-performing operations team. Set clear expectations, provide timely feedback and recognition, address performance concerns consistently, develop frontline leaders, and foster an accountable, respectful workplace culture.
  • Optimize production efficiency, inventory control, and quality standards to align with business goals.
  • Monitor and enhance manufacturing performance, implementing cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
  • Role model Inovar’s core values—Customer Focus, Partnership Driven, and Team Engagement—by setting clear expectations, building trust, fostering collaboration, and reinforcing behaviors that support a positive culture and work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Partner with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and facility management to maintain secure and efficient operations.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Service to align production with business needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity and operational success.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages multiple subordinate supervisors overseeing Flexo/Digital Production and Finishing. Supervises Purchasing, R&D, Shipping, and Receiving. Responsibilities include hiring, training, coaching, performance management, employee development, and ensuring policy compliance. This role is expected to build leadership capability within the team, promote accountability, and create a work environment where employees are engaged, respected, and aligned around shared business goals.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of combined education and experience in operations and production management.
  • Strong people leadership abilities, including coaching, communication, employee engagement, conflict resolution, accountability, and the ability to build high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, manufacturing software, and IT infrastructure management.
  • Positive Can-Do Attitude

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Requires standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Work near moving mechanical parts in a moderate noise-level environment, with a strong focus on safety compliance.
