Overview:Service Trucks International (STI) is looking for a Lead Purchasing Agent to guide our purchasing team and ensure materials arrive on time, at the right cost, and at the highest quality. This role is critical to keeping our production running smoothly and supporting both internal teams and external customers. Responsibilities:Source suppliers, solicit quotes, and build strong vendor relationshipsMaintain accurate item and vendor databasesReview planning reports and demand changes to create or update purchase ordersCommunicate material shortages and identify alternate sourcing solutionsWrite, maintain, and audit purchasing procedures to ensure consistency and training successManage documentation for vendor agreementsManage processing of outside process vendor POsReview and update standard costs and order quantitiesCollaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and scheduling teams Qualifications5–10 years of purchasing/supply chain experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in manufacturing purchasing or supply chainStrong knowledge of ERP systems (TCM preferred) and Microsoft OfficeAbility to write procedures and communicate clearly across teamsUnderstanding of blueprints, manufacturing, and assembly processesSolid math and analytical skills (costing, quantities, conversions)Experience with global supply chain and vendor management is a plus
