Job description


Stepan is seeking a Regional Sales Manager - Tier 2/3 Accounts to join our North America Surfactants team. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of NA Sales. You will be responsible for driving profitable growth across a portfolio of Tier 2 and Tier 3 accounts within the Western region. This role leads a team of sales professionals to execute commercial strategies, strengthen customer relationships, and expand market share.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver volume, revenue, and gross profit targets within the assigned region
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans to drive growth
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Ensure disciplined execution of pricing, forecasting, and pipeline management
  • Partner cross-functionally to support customer needs and new product commercialization

Qualifications
  • 8-12 years of sales experience, preferably in B2B or specialty chemicals
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing customer portfolios
  • Prior people leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities
  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft 365 preferred

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

Pay Range: $148,00 - $170,000
The salary range for this position is determined by considering a variety of factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and the location of the position.
