About the role of a Manufacturing Equipment Operator:
Operates manufacturing equipment as assigned. (I.e: press, welder, staking, saw etc). Perform hand operations (I.e : Sorting, Reworking, Packaging as assigned). Know & conform to all Quality Management System manufacturing requirements. Conform to all Safety and Health policy requirements.
Job Functions of a Manufacturing Equipment Operator:
  • Ensure the appropriate manufacturing item work instruction/ or applicable work instruction is present at any and all assigned work function.
  • Follow the manufacturing Item Work Instruction, Instructions for each job assignment. (for example: dunnage requirements, required checks, oil requirements etc.)
  • Perform and record on appropriate form , attribute /or variable dim. Checks on applicable items during manufacturing run as assigned and required.
  • Fill out I.P. Tag. with all required data and correct Production Order Number.
  • During run, make sure any additional requirements to complete work assignment are acquired. (for example : more oil, another container, more components required, another I.P. tag, attribute chart).
  • Keep work areas "Neat" and Clean" during and after work assignment, in any area.
  • Wear required Safety -Personal Protection equipment. (I.e.; ear Plugs, Safety Glasses, gloves).
  • Follow all published Safety Policy Rules per Employee Policy Handbook.
  • Cooperate and Participate in any scheduled Internal Quality Audits, in manufacturing.
  • Any other manufacturing task responsibility assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.

Additional skills and/or experience required for success in the role of a Manufacturing Equipment Operator:
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • 3 Years manufacturing experience (anywhere)
  • Familiarity with either ISO9001 or TS 16949 (or equivalent)
